SA KAEO — October 6, 2026, Thai police, immigration officers, and border patrol troops arrested 26 Cambodian nationals during a raid on a community near Rong Kluea Market in Aranyaprathet district, Sa Kaeo province, on Tuesday morning. The joint operation began around 08:00 after authorities received information that Cambodian nationals were staying in Thailand without authorization. Led by Pol. Lt. Gen. Wasan Techaarakkasem, commander of Provincial Police Region 2, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Kittipong Wisetsanguan, chief of Sa Kaeo Provincial Police, together with Col. Phongsakorn Sueangam of Ranger Company 12, officers surrounded and searched the so‑called '200 Rooms' community in Village 7, Pa Rai subdistrict. They found 23 men and three women living without legal permission and took them to Khlong Luek Police Station for further processing. Authorities said the raid is part of an integrated effort by Sa Kaeo security agencies to tighten checks on foreign nationals, prevent illegal border crossings, and maintain security and public order in border communities.
