Under coach Watthachai Damngoongratakul, Thailand took on Kyrgyzstan at Toyota Stadium in Japan. Thailand almost took the lead in the opening minutes through a shot by Thanakrit Chotimuangpak, but the goalkeeper saved it. Iskander Bekoff Kudubey then put Kyrgyzstan ahead 1-0 in the 23rd minute. In the second half, Thailand conceded a corner in the 47th minute, and Ballakov Aitenir scored from close range to extend Kyrgyzstan's lead to 2-0. However, Jahanafi Mama pulled one back for Thailand in the 56th minute to make it 1-2, and Pariparp Vongsa equalized at 2-2 in the 69th minute after coming off the bench. The dramatic turnaround came in the 73rd minute when Pariparp Vongsa scored his second goal to put Thailand ahead 3-2, securing the win and claiming all three points.
