Thai Men's Volleyball Team Beats Kyrgyzstan at Asian Games
Thailand's men's volleyball team swept Kyrgyzstan in three sets at the Asian Games in Osaka on September 29, improving to 2-1 in group play and keeping their knockout stage hopes alive pending Iran's result against Indonesia.
The 20th Asian Games men's volleyball competition took place at Osaka's Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium in Japan on September 29 in the group stage. Thailand's men's volleyball team, ranked 52nd globally, played their third group B match against Kyrgyzstan, ranked 81st in the world.
South Korean coach Park Ki Won fielded six starters: Naphadej Pinijdee, Bunyarut Wongthorn, Thanasak Barunpakdee, Chaiwattana Thungkham, Anuchit Pakdeeguaw, and Thuppradist Praphaphut, with Nakharin Inthanoo as libero.
Thai men's volleyball delivered a dominant performance, defeating Kyrgyzstan in three straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-14.
This result gave Thailand 5 points from the group stage with 2 wins and 1 loss.
