Thai Men's Relay Team Finishes Fourth at Asian Games
Thailand's men's 4×100 metres relay team finished fourth at the Asian Games in Nagoya, with runners substituted due to a last-minute injury during the competition.
Thailand's men's 4×100 metres relay team said they gave their all at the Asian Games and expressed satisfaction with competing, while explaining why two runners had to be substituted in the final. The team finished fourth in the athletics 4×100 metres final at the 20th Asian Games "Aichi-Nagoya 2026" held at Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium on September 28, 2026. After the race, Biu Phuripon Bunyasorn said: "We did our best. We're happy to have competed. Everyone performed well." Chao Kwai Chayut Kongprasit, who ran in place of Chutithat Prueksonanth, explained that Chutithat had suffered a sudden injury. "I was surprised to compete after running in the mixed 4×100 relay because my teammate got hurt and had to rest. The coach told me at the warm-up track, so I was excited. I tried my best and was proud to show the Thai people what we could do."
