Thai Proud Party Rules Out Blocking Work With Kao Klai

Thai Proud Party spokesman Nanun Bunyathida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society, said at a press briefing after the weekly parliamentary caucus meeting on September 22, 2569 that discussions covered political developments and parliamentary agenda items, but she declined to comment on Kao Klai party matters, saying the ruling coalition only recently learned from news reports about the opposition bloc's decision to remove Kao Klai and bring in another party. She noted this was an issue for the opposition bloc to address. When asked whether the caucus discussed rumors of Kao Klai joining the government, Nanun said no such discussion occurred—only talk about where the news stories originated, which were analyses by various news agencies. She emphasized the issue is a problem for the opposition coalition rather than the ruling coalition. Regarding whether Kao Klai had been brought into the government, the spokesman stated the ruling coalition partners remain as currently known. Asked whether Thai Proud Party would block cooperation with Kao Klai now that the party has left the opposition, Nanun stressed that all parliamentary parties work together regardless of their bloc affiliation, as they must coordinate on parliamentary business and agendas. She rejected the notion of closing doors to any party, noting that government and opposition whips communicate constantly. She reaffirmed that all parties continue working together as before, with the only difference being their parliamentary status. The ruling coalition currently consists of Thai Proud Party and Move Forward Party.
