Thai Tekball Pair Wins Gold at Asian Games
Thailand's Supavatee Vongkamjan and Chudatip Kanthathong claimed gold in women's doubles tekball at the Asian Games in Nagoya, defeating Myanmar's pair 12-6, 12-3.
The tekball competition at the 20th Asian Games was held on September 20 at Nagoya City Higashi Sports Center in the final round. The Thai tekball team advanced to finals in all three categories: mixed doubles, women's doubles, and men's doubles. In the women's doubles final, world champions Supavatee Vongkamjan and Chudatip Kanthathong faced Myanmar's Su Mon Aung and Pyu Pyu Than. The Thai pair dominated the first set, winning 12-6, then continued their strong performance in the second set with a 12-3 victory. Supavatee Vongkamjan and Chudatip Kanthathong successfully claimed the Asian Games gold medal, securing Thailand's second gold in tekball and the second gold medal for the Thai delegation at the Asian Games.
