Thai Track Athletes Review Games Canteen Food
Thai track athletes competing at the 20th Asian Games in Japan praised the canteen's tasty, nutritious meals but noted portions are smaller than expected, with some runners struggling to get adequate servings during peak times.
Thailand's track and field team competing at the 20th Asian Games in Japan has reviewed meals from the games canteen, praising the quality while noting that portions are on the small side. The dining hall offers a variety of protein and vitamin-rich options.
The Athletics Association of Thailand posted a video review on its official Facebook page featuring athletes sampling the food. In the clip, sprinter Phuriphol Bunsohn reviewed vegetables and mentioned having already eaten beef and shrimp, then praised the broccoli for its good taste. Distance runner Phasapong Amsaang reviewed rice, fried chicken, mushroom cream, and dumplings, commenting that while the portions seemed a bit small, the food was definitely delicious.
Other athletes also shared their own reviews, with all praising the food's taste and variety. However, some mentioned that portions were smaller than expected, and a few reported receiving only boiled eggs and rice because staff could not keep up with demand.
The Thai track and field team will compete in the 20th Asian Games between September 24-29.
