Thai Windsurfers Seize Title and Four Podiums at Asian Championship

Thai windsurfers achieved remarkable results at the Techno 293 Asian Championship 2026 held in Langkawi, Malaysia from August 1–9, securing one gold medal and four silver medals. The Thai Windsurfing Association fielded nine windsurfers in the Techno 293 category to compete for the Asian crown. Secretary-General Pattana Bunsawat reported that the team's standout performances included Palm Suphachai Chueatathong winning gold in the men's under-19 category, while Park Suphachok Chueatathong, Chaiyim Nawin Singsat, Ungying Korkunya Panthong, Biu Ittiphon Yomjinda all took silver in their respective divisions. The competition served as crucial preparation for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal in October and the 2027 Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia, with the venue offering identical conditions for competitive practice.
