Thailand's men's volleyball team opened their Asian Games campaign with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Indonesia in Group B on Sunday. The two teams traded sets throughout a closely fought match at Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium, with the score tied at 2-2 before Thailand sealed the deciding fifth set. Thailand won 25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23 to claim their first victory of the tournament. Thai attacker Napadej Pinijdee led the way with an outstanding 34 points in the match. Thailand will return to action on September 28, facing Iran at 14:00.
