Swift Driver Who Forded Floodwaters Warns Against Copying Risky Stunt
A Suzuki Swift owner who drove through floodwaters near Bangkok's Kasetsart University has warned against copying the risky stunt, sharing safety tips for crossing water during emergencies.
The owner of the Suzuki Swift captured driving through floodwaters near Kasetsart University's Bangkhen campus has identified himself on the Club Swift Facebook group, sharing details of the incident and offering guidance to drivers facing flood conditions. The owner stated: "This Suzuki Swift is my own vehicle. I do not recommend anyone attempt this." He advised that in a crisis situation, the first steps are to stay calm, assess your vehicle's capabilities, and plan your route before proceeding. If crossing water becomes necessary, he recommended selecting the shallowest route that can be traversed most quickly for vehicle safety. Engine speed management is equally important—avoid excessive throttle or acceleration and use throttle levels appropriate to the situation. In closing, the owner wrote: "Finally, thank you all for your support and encouragement. Please drive safely. Thank you." The Aonnuch service center manager is reportedly tracking down the driver and has requested he get in touch, as the center is offering complimentary fluid changes following the floodwater crossing. The incident has drawn considerable online interest after images of the Swift fording floodwaters at Kasetsart University spread widely, attracting numerous comments.
