Phatcharin Cheapchandej of Thailand advanced to the next round of women's singles at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya after defeating her Pakistani opponent 2-0 in the opening round on Sunday. Phatcharin, known as Eve, will face Alexandra Eala of the Philippines in the next round. Eala is the reigning SEA Games champion, ranked No. 18 in the world and the No. 1 seed at the Asian Games, and received a bye in the opening round. Meanwhile, Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew, the SEA Games runner-up and world No. 88, also advanced after beating Mongolia's Maralgoo Chogsoj 6-4, 6-2, and will compete in the women's singles round of 16.
