On September 27, Rayong Governor Trirapap Vongtrirut inspected flooding at Kaeng Hospital, accompanied by Dr. Surawit Saktanuphap, Rayong Provincial Medical Officer, and Deputy Hospital Director Dr. Ubonsarn Bunloi. The inspection found water seeping into hospital grounds to a depth of 10–15 centimeters, though the outpatient building remained above water. However, the hospital's kitchen facility, which prepares meals for patients, doctors, nurses, and medical staff, was flooded, impacting care for around 200 patients.
Kaeng Hospital has requested sandbags as water levels on Sukhumvit Road in front of the facility continue to rise, and boxed meals for patients, medical personnel, and relatives because the hospital kitchen is now unusable. Food ingredient stocks are down to a three-day supply, and local suppliers have also been affected by flooding, making it difficult to source new stock.
Flooding across Kaeng District remains unresolved, with water levels still rising in low-lying areas. Widespread damage to homes and businesses has been reported, particularly in the district's economic zones. A coffin shop behind the hospital saw its stock swept away by currents; municipal disaster-relief staff had to pursue and recover the coffins downstream.
