Thailand's U-19 Underwater Hockey Team Wins Historic Bronze at Asian Championships
Thailand's under-19 underwater hockey team won bronze at the Asian Championships in Indonesia, marking the country's first medal in the sport at the continental level.
Thailand's under-19 national underwater hockey team delivered an impressive performance by claiming the competition's first-ever bronze medal at the 2026 CMAS Asian Championships Underwater Hockey, held August 5–8, 2026 in Bogor, Indonesia. The result marks a major breakthrough for Thailand's underwater hockey program at the international level, with the U-19 team securing a place on the Asian podium ahead of all nations except Singapore and China. The Thai Diving Sports Association sent 23 competitors to the championships, comprising 11 athletes in the U-15 age group and 12 in the U-19 category, with coaching and management support from head coach Vincent Low (Singapore), Martin Keith, Khokwan Wanikorn, team manager Sila Supha Wannasutthigul, and assistant manager Buwarut Nualpaen.
