Kirati Ratchatkraingkai, head coach of Thailand's women's national volleyball team, has praised the government-backed Prime Minister's Youth Cup volleyball competition as an effective pathway for 15-year-olds to reach the national team. He emphasized that the competition is crucial because it nurtures young athletes from the grassroots level through successive stages of development. Kirati credited the program with driving youth talent development and providing Thai players nationwide with a competitive platform to prove themselves, and thanked Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul for supporting the initiative. Kirati's career began coaching Thailand's youth women's team, where he built a dream squad of 2001-born players who finished fourth at the 2017 AFC U19 Women's Volleyball Championship in Yala and fifth at the U19 World Championship that same year in Chiang Mai. The Prime Minister's Youth Cup welcomes registrations until September 12, 2025, for under-15 boys and girls volleyball teams across Thailand.
