Two Men Arrested at Emissions Checkpoint with Ice and Methamphetamine
Police arrested two men at an emissions checkpoint in Bangkok's Prawet district after finding crystal methamphetamine and 80 pills hidden in their vehicle. Both tested positive for drug use and face multiple charges.
Police from the Air Pollution Inspection Unit at Bangkok's Prawet Station arrested two men, a 21-year-old and a 41-year-old, at an emissions checkpoint on Sukhapibal Road 2 in Prawet district. Officers observed suspicious behavior when the men drove through the checkpoint and requested a search. Police found 1.13 grams of crystal methamphetamine in a plastic bag and 80 methamphetamine pills in a transparent plastic box hidden under the driver's seat. A drug test on the 21-year-old tested positive for methamphetamine use, and he admitted both men had used the drugs and owned the substances. The 21-year-old was charged with three offenses: unlawful possession of Category 1 narcotics, driving under the influence of narcotics, and illegal drug use. The 41-year-old was charged with unlawful possession of Category 1 narcotics and illegal drug use. Both men and the seized items were handed over to Prawet Police Station for legal proceedings.
