Two Pahonyothin police officers who rescued victims of a beer hall fire at Ladprao have been discharged from the hospital after their condition improved to nearly normal. The officers were initially hospitalized after assisting injured victims at the fire scene, then readmitted after developing respiratory system complications. Fellow officers called rescue services and took them to the police hospital.
On January 14, 2025, Police General Syam Boonsombat, the national police chief, along with senior officials, visited the officers to offer encouragement and praise their dedication and heroic actions as servants of the public. The two officers, Sub-Lieutenant Mangkorn Kotchansom and Sub-Lieutenant Warichaya Chaiyavong, both squad leaders at Pahonyothin Police Station, received warm and friendly visits from the police leadership.
General Syam greeted the officers by shaking their hands and inquired about the incident details with genuine concern, commending their courage and sense of duty. The officers' conditions have improved significantly, with doctors treating their respiratory irritation, bringing them close to normal health. They experienced only minor throat irritation and have been medically cleared and permitted to continue their recovery at home.
