Idear Suchada filed a defamation complaint against opposition lawmaker Rangsiman Rom after he linked her husband to a scam gang during a parliamentary debate. She said she is innocent and ready to pursue the case legally, adding that if her husband were not a good person she would not have married him.
Suchada reported to the Central Investigation Bureau’s cyber crime division on October 2, 2025, seeking charges of defamation by publication against Rangsiman. She stated the action protects her rights and that those responsible must face consequences, expressing confidence that she and her family are innocent.
She affirmed her husband is not involved in any scam operation, describing him as a businessman with diverse investment activities whose exact line of work cannot be pinpointed. Regarding a summons from the parliamentary law committee for October 7, she said she had not yet received the invitation but would comply if proper documents arrived.
Suchada also addressed comments by former Democrat Party MP Sirichok Sopha, who questioned the source of 2 billion baht in funds and alleged loans of 1.4 billion baht to bankrupt companies. She said Sirichok, as a former MP, should know how to disclose assets and debts, and that she has already submitted correct documents to the anti-corruption commission; if his documents are proven false she would file a counter‑lawsuit.
On the matter of explaining the issue to the Bhumjaithai Party, she said it remains a personal issue, though Prime Minister Anutin Chanvirakul offered encouragement, telling her not to worry if she has done nothing wrong. She concluded by reiterating her confidence in her husband’s character, saying she would not have married him if he were not a good person, despite his friends having faced legal action.
