Woman Reports Nephew's Drug-Fueled Attack, Police Hunt Dangerous Suspect
A 22-year-old man attacked his aunt with a knife and electrical cord in Nakhon Ratchasima on September 8, then fled before police arrived; he later stole a motorcycle and remains at large.
On September 9, 2569, a 29-year-old woman named A (pseudonym) filed a complaint with Deputy Investigator Krarchat Pinit of Pak Chong Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima. She reported that on the afternoon of September 8, she was resting alone on the porch of her home when her 22-year-old nephew, Dam (pseudonym), approached showing signs of agitation and apparent intoxication. Sensing trouble, she attempted to go inside and close the door, but Dam wielded a pointed knife, forced the door open, and knocked her to the ground. He then pressed an electrical cord around her neck while threatening sexual assault, warning that he would stab her with the knife if she refused. He then beat her and fled the house.
After the assault, she ran to inform the village headman, who alerted Pak Chong Police Station within approximately 20 minutes. Officers arrived at the scene but found the suspect had already disappeared. The victim was taken for a medical examination at Pak Chong Hospital. Following the attack, village officials and police launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is considered dangerous. School staff living in dormitories on school grounds became frightened by the incident and gathered together with lights on throughout the night.
Later, a woman named Thong (pseudonym) encountered Dam and agreed to lend him her motorcycle to pick up her husband, with the understanding he would return it. However, she was deceived. The suspect stole the black Honda Wave motorcycle along with a mobile phone that was attached to the bike and has since disappeared without contact. Deputy Investigator Krarchat Pinit has filed a daily report to pursue the suspect for further investigation and legal action.
