Thai Subsidy Program Hits 16 Million Orders, Doubles Merchant Sales
Thai Help Thai Plus subsidy program generated 16 million orders and doubled merchant sales across 59,000 participating restaurants nationwide, with Phase 2 planned for November-December pending cabinet approval.
LINE MAN Wongnai announced the success of the Thai Help Thai Plus program, which generated 16 million orders and doubled merchant sales. On September 21, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ek Nitithanpraphas attended the LINE MAN Wongnai Merchant AI Accelerator seminar to promote AI adoption and skills upgrades for restaurants. LINE MAN Wongnai CEO Yodchai Chinsupakul reported that the platform has budgeted for Thai Help Thai Plus Phase 2, pending cabinet approval, expected to run for two months (November-December) with payments of 1,000 baht per person, requiring a 20 percent budget increase.
Phase 1 of the program involved over 59,000 merchants on LINE MAN, distributing more than 2,570 million baht in government subsidies across all 77 provinces and 266 districts nationwide. Results show merchant sales increased 1.8 times compared to the previous subsidy round, with projections of a twofold increase by project end. The platform has also facilitated access to working capital for over 30,000 merchants through POS system data, boosting business survival rates to 93 percent when POS tools are used alongside subsidies.
The company recently launched Wongnai Genie, a free AI assistant for restaurant operators that monitors business performance, analyzes costs and profits across all channels, tracks customer insights like best-selling menu items and peak service times, and provides 24-hour advisory support. This tool was developed from LINE MAN Wongnai's deep understanding of Thai restaurant operations and its ecosystem data.
