The Legend Taekwondo Championships 2026 marked its fifth consecutive year, aiming to give young athletes a platform to showcase their skills, develop discipline, perseverance, responsibility, and sportsmanship while fostering friendships nationwide. This year’s edition highlighted sports tourism, as athletes, coaches, parents, and fans not only competed but also stayed, dined, and explored Hua Hin’s attractions, boosting the local tourism atmosphere over the weekend. The event received support from Hua Hin Municipality, The Legend Arena, Blueport Huahin shopping centre, Wanavana Water Park, NH Hua Hin Hotel, the Hua Hin-Cha-am Tourism Business Association, Royal Hua Hin Golf Club, and various private sponsors. Yaowapa Burapachai, chair of the organizing committee, said the five‑year effort seeks to create a lasting youth sports stage that draws families from across the country and hopes to become an annual fixture for the city. Over 300 young taekwondo practitioners gave their best on the mat, embodying the spirit of 'knowing loss, knowing victory, knowing forgiveness' and showing genuine sportsmanship. The rallying cry 'Fighting on, even if we have to wade through water' captured the determination of athletes, parents, and staff who traveled to Hua Hin to create another memorable day in Thai youth taekwondo.
