Defence Minister Adul Boontharm presided over the closing ceremony of the National Defence Course Class 68 at the Defence College's auditorium in Bangkok, joined by Supreme Commander Ukritz Boontananth and other senior military and civilian officials. A total of 298 students graduated this year, and awards were presented for The Ten project, a community excellence initiative won by the Blue Chicken team.
The one-year curriculum, running from October 2025 to September 2026, trains senior civil servants, military officers, state enterprise employees, and private-sector leaders on national strategy and security. The course emphasizes mixed learning with active participation, field trips, and practical experience in understanding real-world security and social challenges.
Adul noted that Thailand faces rapid global shifts, particularly in artificial intelligence, which is now a current reality rather than a future concern. He identified emerging threats including cyber attacks and scams alongside traditional security challenges, geopolitical conflicts, and economic volatility. He called for Thailand to become a resilient nation capable of recovering strongly and advancing with stability and sustainability. He urged the graduates to translate their strategic knowledge into concrete action and practical implementation to secure Thailand's future.
