Police have launched a manhunt across Region 1, Pathum Thani Province, and Khlong Luang District for a lone gunman who robbed Thai Military Bank's Talat Thai branch in Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani on September 10, 2025, at around 4 p.m. The suspect made off with 1,541,704 baht in cash.
Following the incident, Region 1 Police Commander Watthana Yi-chin and Pathum Thani Provincial Police Commander Peeraporl Choktisetthiyan ordered investigation teams to pursue and arrest the suspect. A Toyota Vios with forged license plates that the robber drove has been found burned and abandoned.
Peeraporl revealed that the suspect is a man approximately 170 centimeters tall, wearing a wool beanie to conceal his face, a red shirt, and gloves. He acted alone, timing his entry just five minutes before the bank's closing time. He used an iron rod to block the door from the inside, then approached a counter and brandished a short-barreled pistol to threaten six staff members and an auditor.
Using the words "Stay calm, I won't hurt anyone, I just need money," he forced staff to hand over approximately 500,000 baht in cash. He then forced an employee to open the safe, from which he stole an additional 1 million baht.
The suspect fled in the car to a vacant lot along Phaholyothin Road near Khlong Luang Post Office, where the vehicle was set alight. Investigation of the license plate revealed it was forged.
Police have coordinated with nearby units to intercept the suspect and ordered investigation teams to urgently review CCTV footage along the escape route to determine which path the suspect took and whether accomplices were involved in his getaway.
