Noodle Delivery Rider Assaulted by Angry Customer in Udon Thani
A 57-year-old food delivery rider filed a police report in Udon Thani after being attacked by a customer while delivering a noodle order. The customer allegedly shouted abuse, slapped the rider’s head, kicked his motorcycle, and threatened to hit him with a hammer. The rider said he was not late and refused any gift or apology, demanding full legal action.
Aitthi, 57, said he arrived at the customer's house around 11:05 a.m. to deliver a noodle order. After locating the address, a man who turned out to be the customer yelled, 'Don't you see me?' Aitthi tried to calm him, suggesting they talk nicely. When he stopped in front of the house, the customer snatched the noodles, then slapped Aitthi on the head and kicked his motorbike, warning he would fetch a hammer to attack him. Aitthi said the customer appeared angry from hunger but that did not justify the violence. He added that he was not late and had arrived early, and that the customer's rage over a possible delay or house number was no excuse for abuse. Aitthi insisted he would pursue the case fully, refusing any gift or apology, and emphasized that delivery riders deserve respect.
