Baby Delivered Safely in Pickup Truck During Emergency Birth
A woman in advanced labor delivered a healthy baby in a pickup truck at Yang Lum Health Promotion Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani after staff assisted with an emergency roadside birth.
Staff at Yang Lum Health Promotion Hospital in Roi Rot District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, responded urgently when a pregnant woman arrived by pickup truck in advanced labor with the baby's head already emerging. Hospital personnel immediately assisted with an emergency delivery on the truck bed, successfully delivering a healthy baby at 9:49 a.m. weighing 2,955 grams. The mother and infant received appropriate initial care, and emergency medical services (1669) were contacted to arrange ongoing hospital care and monitoring. Following the incident, people have begun circulating the truck's license plate number 9320, hoping to use it for the upcoming September 16 lottery draw.
