Two Russian siblings were found buried in a mangrove forest in Chonburi province after going missing with a motorcycle. Thai police arrested two men who confessed to killing them during a failed theft attempt.
Two Russian siblings who went missing alongside a Honda ADV 150 motorcycle have been found buried in Chonburi province. Authorities tracked and arrested Tanee ("Pong"), 43, and Thongchai ("Thong"), 39, in Wang Somboon district, Sarasin province. Pong confessed to shooting his male sibling and fatally assaulting his sister during an attempted motorcycle theft after they resisted. On July 31, 2569, at 21:40, police escorted Pong into a mangrove forest at Moo 10, Huai Yai subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi, to identify where the bodies were buried. Officers discovered fresh straw and compost beneath a tree, and detected a strong odor as they began excavating. By 22:30, after digging approximately one meter deep, authorities recovered two deceased individuals—one male and one female—believed to be the two Russian siblings. Both suspects were then taken to Huai Yai police station for further questioning.
