Thriller 'The Devil's Mouth' Filmed Across Thailand
Five adventurers encounter something deadly while cave diving along Thailand's coast in survival thriller "The Devil's Mouth," filmed across multiple Thai locations from Bangkok to Mae Hong Son.
The Devil's Mouth is a heart-pounding survival thriller about five young adventurers who journey along Thailand's breathtaking coastline and discover a remote cave known as "The Devil's Mouth." When they join a cave-diving tour, they find themselves stalked by something deadly beneath the water.
The film was shot across several stunning locations throughout Thailand, including Bangkok, Krabi, Mae Hong Son, and Samut Prakan. The cast features rising stars Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor, Gavin Casalegno, Nico Hiraga, and Tommi Rose, alongside internationally recognized Thai actor Tayme Thapthimthong.
Thapthimthong plays a cave-diving guide who leads foreign tourists into the underwater cave. He expressed pride in being part of a film shot entirely in Thailand, from north to south, to showcase the country's beauty to global audiences. In his role, his character initially suspects nothing is amiss, but once disaster strikes, his sole objective becomes ensuring every group member escapes alive.
Thapthimthong described the role as requiring authenticity and realism above all else. To prepare for the extensive underwater sequences, all six main cast members attended a month-long diving workshop in a two-meter-deep swimming pool, where professional instructors trained them in freediving and scuba basics. The cast practiced breath-holding regularly, as many scenes required extended underwater filming periods.
