An exclusive interview with the cast and director of the thriller film The Devil's Mouth, which was shot extensively across Thailand. The movie follows five teenagers on an adventure along Thailand's scenic coastline who join a diving expedition to explore a remote underwater cave called "The Devil's Mouth," only to discover something sinister and deadly lurking beneath the surface.
The production filmed across multiple Thai locations including Bangkok, Krabi, Mae Hong Son, and Samut Prakan, starring rising international talents Kathryn Newton, Lana Condor, Gavin Casalegno, Nico Hiraga, and Tommi Rose, alongside globally renowned Thai actor Tem Thapthimthong. The film is now available to watch on Prime Video.
Interview with actor Tem Thapthimthong:
On his initial reaction to the script and joining the project: I felt incredibly proud to be part of this film because it was shot throughout Thailand, in both the northern and southern regions, showcasing the beauty of our country to the world. We had professional diving instructors teach us free diving skills—holding our breath while diving underwater without oxygen tanks—and basic scuba equipment use. We trained in the pool almost a full month, practicing breath-holding techniques since actual filming required scenes where we'd need to hold our breath underwater. Personally, I already enjoyed swimming, so it wasn't difficult. It was a fun experience and helped all the cast members bond before filming started.
On the most challenging or memorable scenes: Our first shoot was a canoe paddling scene into a cave entrance in Mae Hong Son province. After that...
