Bolt and Grab Deploy Boats, Aid to Flood-Hit Bangkok
Bolt and Grab donated boats, survival kits, and shuttle services to help Bangkok residents stranded by severe flooding, with free transport prioritizing elderly, disabled, and families in affected districts.
On September 27, 2025, Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkhsukuklert, along with officials from the Land Transport Department and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, accepted equipment and relief supplies from ride-hailing apps Bolt and Grab to assist people affected by severe flooding in Bangkok.
Bolt Support Services Thailand donated ten 12-foot aluminum boats equipped with motors, life jackets, and safety gear valued at over 1 million baht. The boats will provide free transport to residents, with priority for elderly people, disabled persons, children, and families stranded in flood zones. Service points have been set up in Bueng Kum, Prawet, Khlong Samwa, Bang Kapi, and Lat Krabang districts. Residents can request assistance by calling Bangkok's flood prevention center at 1555 or 02-248-5115, available 24 hours daily.
Grab Thailand donated 500 survival kits for flood victims and arranged free shuttle bus service between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the city center, linking to the National Convention Center BTS station and Victory Monument BTS station. Land Transport Department officials said the support demonstrates Bolt and Grab's commitment to helping affected residents travel safely and access emergency assistance more effectively.
