Army Transport Corps Sends Aid to Flood-Hit Bangkok Neighborhoods
The Army Transport Corps has launched flood‑relief operations across Bangkok and nearby provinces, focusing on three main districts while also supporting the Rom Klao housing estate in Lat Krabang where water reached 1.2 metres. Personnel and vehicles have been delivering food, drinking water and medicine since September 25, using specialized trucks to navigate flooded streets. Operations will continue as long as needed, with troops rotating on request from local authorities.
On October 2, floodwaters in the Rom Klao area of Lat Krabang district stood at about 100–120 centimeters, with some spots deeper than 120 cm, making travel and access difficult. The Army Transport Disaster Relief Center sent three large cargo trucks fitted with extra exhaust pipes to deliver food and drinking water to residents, starting at 06:00. Lieutenant Colonel Natthachai Pissuttakorn and Captain Bungkhom Khampho coordinated the operation. Personnel continue to use suitable vehicles to navigate the flooded zones and steadily transport essential supplies. The Army will keep rotating troops and equipment as requested by local authorities until the situation improves.
