Buddhist Abbot Donates 2 Billion Baht for Hospital in Bangkok
Respected Bangkok monk Phra Phrom Wachirakhun has pledged 2 billion baht to build a new hospital in Don Muang district over 42 months, continuing his extensive charitable medical work across the city.
Phra Phrom Wachirakhun, abbot of Sri Sudaramworawiharn Temple in Bangkok Noi and a highly respected monk known for his charitable donations, has committed 2 billion baht toward building a new hospital in the Don Muang district. The construction project is scheduled to take 42 months and is funded entirely from the abbot's personal resources. The hospital will be developed in phases with budgets allocated as follows: 10 million baht in 2026, 660 million baht in 2027, 660 million baht in 2028, and 670 million baht in 2029. The new facility will join several other medical institutions under the abbot's stewardship, including Ratchapipat Hospital, centers for geriatric medicine, intellectual disability care, and other specialized medical facilities across Bangkok.
