Custom Casio Watches Engraved With PM Anutin's Name Given to Inner Circle
Custom Casio watches engraved with PM Anutin's name have been given to his inner circle, including senior government officials and party leaders, as part of what appears to be a gift-giving practice by the watch-collecting prime minister.
An investigation into the origins of custom Casio watches engraved with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's name has revealed which top officials possess them. After reports emerged of Casio timepieces bearing Anutin's name and English title engraved on the back, images surfaced showing Thammanas Prompow, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, wearing what appeared to be a ceremonial gift before joining the government.
Thammanas has reportedly worn his watch since August 13, 2025, with photos first appearing on August 24, 2025, while he was conducting flood relief operations in Nan Province. According to reports, only close associates of Anutin have received the watches, including several ministers from the Bhumjaithai Party—Peeraborwon Suwannachue, Jetsada Thaiserath, Worasit Leerngprasitthee, and Phadej Parisnannantkul—as well as Siripong Angsukulkiatkit, Arthasitta Sampantharat (Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior), and Nirat Pongsitthatavon (Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Interior).
Anutin is known to be an avid watch collector who regularly purchases Casio models while campaigning and inspecting development projects at various shopping centers and department stores. Both silver and black variants have been engraved with his name, costing approximately 1,900 baht each. The specific model worn by Thammanas, the Casio AE-1200WH (Casio Royale), was reportedly purchased by Anutin on April 4, 2025, while he was checking product prices at a department store in the Bang Kapi district.
