PTT and Krung Sri have closed the company's first sustainability-linked term loan, a 4.8 billion baht facility aimed at funding major reforestation and education projects. Patralada Saangsamang, PTT's Chief Financial Officer, and Kenichi Yamamoto, President and Chief Executive of Krung Sri Bank, announced the achievement, with Krung Sri serving as the sole sustainability finance advisor and sole lender.
The transaction represents a significant step forward for PTT in embedding sustainability principles into its business strategy, balancing commercial growth with environmental stewardship and long-term social value creation. The loan proceeds will support PTT's key sustainability initiatives, including forest restoration and expansion, as well as science and technology education development through KVIS and VISTEC to advance environmental conservation, innovation, and workforce development for Thailand's future.
