Central Park Marks First Anniversary With 25 Million Visits
Central Park, a major mixed-use development in Bangkok's Silom area, attracted over 25 million visits in its first year, including 10 million from abroad, with retail occupancy near 98% and 250+ brands now operating at the destination.
Central Park, the mixed-use development in Bangkok's Silom area, welcomed more than 25 million visits in its first year, including over 10 million international visitors, its developer said.
Central Pattana, Thailand's leading real estate developer, marked the destination's first anniversary on 4 September, saying Central Park had achieved nearly 100% retail occupancy while attracting strong traffic across its shopping, office, hotel and residential components.
The shopping center has reached 98% retail occupancy, with daily traffic of between 65,000 and 75,000 visits, according to Central Pattana. Central Park Offices has an occupancy rate of more than 80%, with tenants including Deutsche Bank, adidas, Bayer, GSK, Mitsubishi Corporation and the Embassy of the Netherlands. The Residences at Dusit Central Park has reached 96% in sales, while Dusit Thani Bangkok received a Michelin Key and several international awards during its first year.
Central Pattana said Central Park's performance is driven by three strategies: "Curated Newness," which brings new brands and experiences to Bangkok; "A People-led Cultural Stage," which focuses on food, art, music, design and culture; and "Design for Bangkok," which incorporates the character of Silom, Rama 4 and nearby Lumphini Park into the development.
The destination now hosts more than 250 Thai and international brands. Highlights include Blue Bottle Coffee's first Thailand outlet and new retail concepts from brands including ZARA and Onitsuka Tiger. Central Pattana said it aims to increase traffic by more than 10% over the next year as it develops Central Park as "Bangkok's World Stage."
"Looking ahead, we see Central Park as 'Bangkok's World Stage' — a platform that brings the best of the world to Bangkok, while showcasing the city's unique character, creativity and potential to a global audience," said Kunayudh Dej-udom, asset director of Central World and Central Park.
The first-anniversary celebrations include collaborations with artists and brands, as well as special promotions and limited-edition items for visitors.
