Woman Arrested Delivering Crystal Meth for Pittance
A 30-year-old woman was arrested in Saraeng Kaew Province with 4,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in her car; she admitted to delivering drugs for just 1,000 baht per trip while her supplier earned significantly more.
On September 5, Deputy Lieutenant Narodom Yuwaboon, commander of Highway Police Division 3, together with Lieutenant Komlaphop Hanyuech and officers from Saraeng Kaew Provincial Police Investigation Division, arrested Naruewan, 30 years old, along with 4,000 methamphetamine pills, a Honda City sedan registered in Prachuap Khiri Khan, and one mobile phone. The arrest took place on the Saraeng Kaew–Chanthaburi Road, Village 7, Khlong Hin Pun Subdistrict, Wang Nam Yen District, Saraeng Kaew Province.
Investigators had previously arrested members of a drug network operating in the area. During their investigation, they learned that Naruewan was using the vehicle to receive crystal meth and deliver it to customers. Highway police were called to assist with surveillance. When officers spotted Naruewan driving alone on the route, they conducted a vehicle search and discovered 4,000 methamphetamine pills hidden beneath the driver's seat.
During interrogation, Naruewan admitted the drugs were hers. She said she had been hired by a woman to pick up crystal meth, collect money from buyers at 20,000 baht per batch, and relay orders received through Messenger. For her transport work, she earned only 1,000 baht per delivery.
Naruewan and the seized items were transferred to Wang Nam Yen Police Station in Saraeng Kaew Province to face charges of jointly distributing Type 1 controlled drugs (methamphetamine) with intent to sell for commercial purposes and distribution among the general public.
