CP Launches AI Accelerator 'Dolphin Tank' to Boost Business Impact
CP Group has launched the 'Dolphin Tank' platform as part of its CP-CoEX AI Business Accelerator, featuring seven AI projects developed with 11 global technology partners after eight weeks of collaboration. The initiative aims to create AI solutions that could deliver tenfold business impact while developing employees who understand both business and technology. CP executives said the program focuses on cultivating people who can turn AI potential into real results.
On October 1, 2026, CP Group launched the 'Dolphin Tank' platform as part of the CP-CoEX AI Business Accelerator's inaugural cohort, bringing seven projects from 11 leading global technology firms into their first test after eight weeks of joint development. Using real business challenges as a foundation, the initiative links business units with technology partners to create AI solutions with potential for real-world deployment and tenfold business impact, aiming to develop human capital for CP and its leading private-sector partners.
Dr. Teerapol Thanomsakdyut, President of the Corporate Sustainability and Strategy Executive Committee at CP Group, said, 'CP Group believes AI is changing the rules of business competition, from how work is done and decisions are made to the creation of entirely new business models. The key challenge is how to develop people who understand both business and technology and can turn AI's potential into real business results. Even the best technology will not drive change without people who know how to apply it to solve problems and create value.'
He added that the core concept of the learning experience is the 'Dolphin' idea, which in the CoEX context symbolizes Intelligent Transformation—the ability to use wisdom, technology, and collaborative power to turn real challenges into new outcomes. Dolphin represents not just intelligence, but intelligence that can be applied in practice, the capacity to learn and adapt when circumstances change, the ability to work with others to achieve what cannot be done alone, and the skill to translate learning into tangible results. These are the qualities of leaders organizations need in the AI era—not people who know everything, but those who learn quickly, connect people, use technology effectively, and make new things happen.
Dr. Teerapol further explained that the concept is applied throughout the program: each team must take a business problem or opportunity and develop it into a 'Dolphin Project' by combining business understanding with AI technology and partner expertise before presenting it in the Dolphin Tank—a pitching stage where experts question assumptions, test assumptions, and assess the project's robustness. This serves as a proving ground for Intelligent Transformation, turning real challenges into real impact before moving to full solution development and a final evaluation round. CP Group thanked its business partners for their close collaboration in building the initiative.
Dolphin Tank is a key mechanism of CP-CoEX under the Intelligent Transformation framework, using the dolphin as a symbol of four core attributes: speed, intelligence/smartness, agility, and collaboration/togetherness, aimed at producing 'Intelligent Transformers.' Evaluation criteria cover three areas: 1) The Idea—novelty, problem understanding, and suitability of AI to address business needs; 2) The Business Value—anticipated organizational value; and 3) Proofing & Delivery—feasibility of the solution, reliability, data accuracy, supporting evidence for assumptions, and readiness for implementation.
