Domestic Worker Sentenced to 6 Years for Poisoning Toddler's Milk

A case involving a domestic worker who poisoned a toddler's milk with Dettol disinfectant has concluded with a six-year prison sentence. The incident occurred on December 26, 2024, when the child's mother discovered the worker had deliberately mixed Dettol into her two-year-old's milk bottle. Security camera footage captured the entire incident. Police investigation revealed the worker had a history of theft charges at a hospital and condominium, leading to two criminal charges and detention.
On September 24, 2025, the mother announced on Facebook that the court had delivered its verdict. The court initially sentenced the defendant to 12 years imprisonment for attempted murder, but reduced the sentence to six years after the defendant's confession and guilty plea. Although the defendant initially attempted to retract her confession during witness testimony, claiming her husband ordered her to do it and blaming mental health issues, she ultimately maintained her guilty plea. Throughout the investigation, she provided inconsistent statements, avoided responsibility, and displayed hostile behavior with profanity.
The mother expressed gratitude to everyone who followed the case, thanking the media, the television show "Noen Kraeng," host Garrachai, and all supporters whose awareness helped bring the defendant to justice. She emphasized that the case should serve as a cautionary tale for the public to protect their children and be vigilant.
