Families grieved as they received the eight bodies from the school shooting at Thepsirin in Nonthaburi on August 8. The Poh Teck Tung Foundation carefully transported each casket in vans one by one after forensic staff completed their examinations and authorized the release of the remains.
The first body was that of Kittipong Samrat, deputy director of the administration and student affairs section at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi. His girlfriend held him tightly and sobbed, while family members embraced each other in tears before departing with his body to Sri Saket Province for religious rites at home in Kanthom Subdistrict, Khun Han District.
The second body was Tiwapon Wanit, a school counselor. Her family prepared religious items—white cloth, guiding coins, and incense—and will hold merit-making ceremonies at Ton Wat in Ayutthaya.
The third, fourth, and fifth bodies were those of the 14-year-old shooter, his grandmother, and his grandfather, respectively. The sixth was Prapaporn Khunsila, a mathematics teacher, whose family informed the hospital "we are going home" as her boyfriend held her photograph and wept. Her family will conduct religious ceremonies at Bang Aoy Chang Wat in Nonthaburi.
The seventh body was Saifon Sirikij, an administrative officer and personal secretary to the school director. Her family will hold religious ceremonies at Suwan Klong San Wat in Bangkok.
The eighth and final body was Nanchanat Nakaplang, an English teacher. Her family will conduct religious rites at Bot Ban Wat in Nonthaburi.
