Thai police and immigration officials, working with the FBI office at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, arrested Joshua, a 35-year-old American citizen wanted by a New Hampshire court on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault against multiple minors under 16. The suspect had fled the United States and was hiding at a temple in Chiang Mai while posing as a Buddhist monk. After confirming his identity through an undercover operation conducted with the temple's cooperation, authorities took him into custody. Joshua faces extradition back to the United States, where he will be prosecuted under New Hampshire's criminal justice system. U.S. authorities are expected to arrange his transfer and continue proceedings in court.
