The 92nd Lion Thailand Amateur Open 2026, a major amateur golf championship, concluded on September 18, 2026 at Panya Indra Golf Club in Bangkok. Miguel Illas, a 22-year-old golfer from the Philippines, won the men's individual title and the Royal Cup presented by King Rama VII after winning a playoff. Seventeen-year-old Khwancharok "Mali" Bunjanthorn claimed the women's individual championship.
The final round was affected by continuous rain from morning, preventing completion of all 18 holes. Organizers canceled the final round and used results from the first three rounds according to competition rules. Three men's competitors tied at 8-under par 202: Bhuddha Nukuludompanij, Miguel Illas from the Philippines, and Park Sihu from South Korea. They contested a playoff at hole 18, which Illas won to claim the championship and Royal Cup. Bhuddha finished as runner-up, and Park took third place.
In the women's category, Khwancharok led after three rounds and won the championship with a combined score of 12-under par 198, also claiming the Rangsit Laksitanan Cup, named after the president of the Golf Association of Thailand.
The Lion Thailand Amateur Open 2026, organized by the Golf Association of Thailand from September 15–18, 2026, is one of Thailand's oldest and most prestigious amateur golf competitions. This year marked the 92nd edition and featured 56 international golfers from 13 countries.
