Woman Denies Four Charges in Property Dispute Case
Woman known as 'Aunt Da' and eight associates denied four charges including trespassing, theft, and threatening in a Khon Kaen property dispute case, with investigators gathering evidence before referring the matter to prosecutors.
At 11:30 a.m. on September 18, 2025, at Muang Khon Kaen Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Yoswat Kaewsubthanij, commander of Muang Khon Kaen Police Station, announced that Chommani, known as 'Aunt Da', along with her associates and legal counsel, had arrived to acknowledge charges in response to a summons from investigators. All eight named suspects appeared, accompanied by Bua Khai, the estate administrator of Hiang Pimmanusri, bringing the total number of accused who met with investigators to nine people. All suspects denied the charges.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Yoswat, Aunt Da faces four charges: jointly trespassing on another person's property by two or more persons in violation of lawful possession; theft; threatening another person causing fear; and charges under Article 112 regarding national security matters. Three individuals are charged under Article 112: the person in the purple shirt appearing in a video clip, a woman in a black shirt, and Aunt Da. Aunt Bua Khai faces the charge of filing a false report with officials.
Investigators have informed the suspects of their rights and charges. Since the suspects voluntarily appeared to acknowledge the charges, no arrests or bail arrangements were made. The next steps involve gathering evidence and completing the investigation report within the specified timeframe before summoning the group of suspects to bring them with the report to prosecutors.
Lieutenant Colonel Yoswat stated that police have received no additional complaints and are only investigating the cases already filed. He confirmed that police receive all reports, conduct investigations, and gather evidence to determine whether complaints have merit and sufficient evidence exists to charge the accused. Regarding security at Wat Phaadulya Ram, police have established a checkpoint with officers and volunteers providing 24-hour supervision, with all matters proceeding normally.
