Film Thanapat Addresses Weight Loss Comments, Reveals New Project

Thai actor Film Thanapat addressed viral comments about his weight loss at a Beautrium anniversary event, explaining his slimmer face results from intense cardio and strict dieting, not health issues. He emphasized he is happy with his body, undergoes annual medical check-ups, and ignores criticism that doesn't cross personal boundaries. Film also confirmed his new series "Khun Chai Anantasai" with eight lead actors and a large supporting cast, and expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with co-star James Ma.

Actor Film Thanapat has been taking care of himself with intense exercise, leading to a visibly slimmer face that drew heavy online commentary. He let the remarks pass, saying as long as they don't cross the line, he's happy with his life and appearance. The young leading man joined the 'Beautrium 15th Anniversary Beauty Together' event at Siam Square Walking Street and opened up about the situation.

Recently it went viral that Film's face looked thinner. 'Just exercise, nothing else,' he said. 'Anyone in a phase of heavy cardio and strict dieting can't choose to lose fat only from the belly. When you do a lot of cardio and control food, the body pulls fat from head to toe. That might be the cause, or maybe not, but lately it's been heavy exercise and diet control.'

Have you seen people asking about it? 'Yes, I've seen them. Do I mind? I think I know better than anyone what I'm doing, and I'm happy with my body and my look. So I understand everyone has the right to think and say whatever they want, but I just focus on my own path and stay happy with life.'

People say you've lost too much weight, that your old figure was already good? 'I think it's my happiness. I love exercising. I don't know about others, but I'm happy to exercise a lot and see my body looking good. But I still get annual health check-ups every year — blood values, liver, kidneys, everything — to make sure that beyond looking good, my health is good too.'

Are you satisfied with your current physique and not going further? 'Right about here. Not up, not down, I'm happy. Because during periods when I need to use my physique, I might diet down a bit. When I don't, I'm happy eating.'

Is the exercise too heavy? 'Intensity differs for each person. For me, I exercise almost every free day. But when work is heavy, I put my health first. If today I have to work, do makeup all day, wake up early, work all day, I have to conserve energy for work. But on free days, 90 percent I exercise — if not weights, then running.'

You see extreme comments, like accusations of drug use. How do you handle that? 'Just inhalants. Addicted to inhalants, age-appropriate. Just some wind.'

How do you handle comments that cross the line? 'Let them think. If they don't cross the line at me, I'm still happy with my life, my face, my look.'

New project 'Khun Chai Anantasai'? 'There are eight of us. It's about all eight of us. It's another project I believe many people have been waiting for. And we'll say we're not just eight people — there are many behind-the-scenes crew and many other actors we're very proud of in this project.'

It's a reunion with James Ma too. How is that? 'It feels good. Because I feel like we didn't count the years the same way. I've said before, it's like we went separate ways to gain experience to grow, then came back together in better versions.'

How will you use the experience from your separate paths in this work? 'I think it's good for the acting itself, and for perspectives on life. We're all in our 30s now, all hitting numbers starting with 3. I think it's just being chill with life, chill with work, very happy.'
