Foundation Delivers Aid to Fire Victims in Bangkok
Po Teck Tung Foundation distributed over 665,000 baht in cash and supplies to fire victims across three Bangkok communities between September 3-8, with partner organizations contributing additional relief totaling approximately 800,000 baht
Between September 3-8, the Po Teck Tung Foundation, led by Deputy Chairman Withit Shinwongwarkul, Secretary Sirikul Ophasawong, and other officials, mobilized relief teams to assist fire victims in three Bangkok communities: Mukkasat in Ratchathewi District, Khlong Toei in Khlong Toei District, and Wat Pracha Rapeuttram School community in Dusit District.
The foundation distributed 3,500 baht in cash assistance to 150 individuals and provided household supply packages valued at 2,500 baht to 44 families and individual supply kits worth 1,500 baht to 20 recipients, totaling 665,000 baht in aid. The relief effort involved foundation volunteers and local artists, including musician Sombudsuk Jutlamussig and others, working alongside government officials to distribute goods and offer moral support.
Multiple partner foundations and Chinese associations contributed additional relief across the three communities. At Wat Pracha Rapeuttram School, the Kraisilp Charity Foundation provided 400 baht per person, the Morality and Welfare Promotion Foundation gave 1,000 baht per family, and the Buddhist Association of Pathumrung Foundation donated 10 kilograms of rice per person. Similar assistance was provided in the other two communities, bringing the total combined relief effort to approximately 800,000 baht.
