School Guard Arrested in Janitor's Fatal Stabbing

A 65-year-old school janitor died after being stabbed by a school security guard following an apparent altercation at a school in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya district. Police were alerted to the incident at about 12:00 at a school in Pratu Chai Subdistrict and went to the scene with rescue workers and emergency medical personnel.

The victim was identified as Thaweep Klinboonma, 65, a school janitor. He was found unconscious at a pavilion near the security guard post with two stab wounds — one near the left chest and another on the left rib area. Rescuers provided first aid before taking him to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital, where he later died.

The suspect was identified as Anek, a security guard at the school. He initially fled the scene after the stabbing, prompting police to launch a search. Police later reported that officers had located and detained Anek. He was being questioned about the incident and the motive for the attack.

A street vendor across from the school told police that she had seen Thaweep approach Anek shortly before the incident. The two men reportedly argued, although she could not hear what they were arguing about. The pair then allegedly got into a physical fight before separating. Thaweep later returned inside the school but subsequently walked back toward the security post. Another confrontation then broke out near the post, during which Anek allegedly used a knife to stab him, causing him to collapse at the pavilion.

Police investigators from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Police Station are questioning Anek to establish the circumstances and motive before proceeding with legal action.
