On September 25, 2569, Chaichinawin Dechdecho, a Democrat Party member serving as a parliamentary commissioner and advisor to the police affairs committee, urged the Bangkok governor to instruct all district office directors to inspect buildings and businesses that have been altered to operate as KTVs, bars, or entertainment venues, particularly those operating without authorization or modified in violation of building codes. "We must prioritize public safety first, because unauthorized building alterations can compromise structural integrity and lead to accidents and losses for people," Chaichinawin said. He stressed that inspections should be preventive rather than reactive, calling for all districts to survey and assess at-risk buildings, verify licenses and lawful use, and ensure structures meet safety standards to prevent collapses and future incidents.
