Thai Stock Exchange Signs Deal With NYSE
Thailand's stock exchange signed a cooperation agreement with the New York Stock Exchange on September 24, aimed at enabling dual listings and expanding funding options for Thai companies seeking global capital and investors.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand has signed a memorandum of understanding with the New York Stock Exchange, establishing a framework for cooperation on dual listing, product development, and ESG services, as well as information and knowledge sharing between the two exchanges.
Asadej Kongsiri, chairman and president of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, announced the agreement was signed on September 24, 2025, in New York, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul as witness. The cooperation spans five areas: simultaneous dual listing; development and cross-listing of exchange-traded funds; market data and index products; development of ESG products and services; and exchange of information and expertise between the two exchanges.
"This cooperation will connect businesses and investors between Thailand and the United States, while expanding funding options for Thai listed companies, creating opportunities to access institutional investors and capital from leading global markets," Kongsiri said. "It will also enable global investors greater access to investments in Thailand and provide alternative fundraising channels for foreign companies planning to invest locally, aligning with the BOI to IPO initiative."
The agreement reflects the Stock Exchange of Thailand's commitment to strengthening competitiveness and linking the Thai capital market with new opportunities, in line with its vision as "The Trusted Gateway to Inclusive Opportunities."
Will Goodwin, head of strategic operations and corporate affairs at the New York Stock Exchange, said NYSE values the longstanding relationship with the Stock Exchange of Thailand. "This MOU represents another important step in deepening our cooperation and creating new opportunities for issuers and investors. We look forward to working closely with the Thai exchange to support long-term growth of the Thai capital market."
The two exchanges have collaborated since 1992, beginning with market oversight and regulatory work. Over more than three decades, their cooperation has expanded to this new comprehensive agreement.
