Military Region 1 has ordered a full mobilization of forces to prepare for heavy rainfall forecast between September 25-27, 2025, with personnel and equipment standing by to assist residents throughout Bangkok and its surrounding areas. The alert comes as heavy rain continues to fall, with warnings of severe to very heavy precipitation expected during the 25-27 September period, which could trigger flash floods and landslides across multiple locations. Lieutenant General Warayos Lueangsuwannakul, commander of Military Region 1 and director of the Military Region 1 Disaster Relief Center, has instructed all relevant units to closely monitor developments and maintain readiness to respond immediately to any emergency situations. The military has been directed to coordinate and integrate operations with provincial authorities, local administrations, and related agencies, with particular focus on high-risk areas prone to flash flooding and mudslides. Heavy rain has been falling continuously across the central region, including Bangkok and surrounding provinces, prompting Military Region 1 to deploy all available resources since September 24 to assist residents suffering from the ongoing disaster. Military Region 1's operations aim to alleviate suffering, minimize loss of life and property damage, and help residents return to normal life as quickly as possible.
