Channel 3 serves up an intense romance in the new sapphic series "Love Me To Hurt Me: Love = Evil," adapted from the novel "Phai Phleung Marn" by Lalal, with Sarasawadee Wongsompet directing.
Tan Duangkaew Piyauy flips her image to play Song Kasira, the heiress of a diamond business, paired with adorable newcomer Yuyu Arinicha Ongkositrakul as Oh Attawadee, a nurse and former lover who once shattered both their hearts. When fate brings them together again, their old love turns into a vengeful fire ready to consume every relationship.
The series also assembles a full roster of skilled actors to add color and raise the stakes: Me Nisachon Tuam-suang-ngoen (Neung Nam Neung), Cap Jakkarin Phuriphat (Sasatra), Oung Sittanant Supakriangkrai (Dr. Smith), Kate Marilyn Kate Gardner (Cream), Candy Supaphassorn Phoncharoenrat (Ong Kulwadee), Wanrada Klom-klom (Phinthong), Big Sarut Wichitra-anont (Methanee), Fluk Chatchaput Jitraktham (Sam Trairat), New Natthanon Limpisathian (Kaeo), and Too-tan Rachapha-ek Tan-siriwattana (Sia Karachai), all weaving relationships full of knots and unpredictable twists.
"Love Me To Hurt Me: Love = Evil" tells the story of love and revenge between Song Kasira, the diamond business heiress, and her lover Oh Attawadee, a nurse who ended things painfully. When they discover the nurse caring for Song's mother is Oh, the former lover who crushed her heart, the lingering pain transforms into revenge waiting to erupt. From love to vengeful fire — how will their love story end?
Tan Duangkaew revealed the heavy character preparation: "I had a lot of homework with the character Song because her personality and mindset are very different from mine — she's proud, stubborn, refuses to yield, sharp-tongued, and hot-tempered, which I'm not. When I knew I'd get this role, I felt excited and challenged because Song is capable, smart, and a working woman who must inherit the family diamond business. As the middle child, she must prove her ability to her parents."
Yuyu Arinicha also discussed her character: "Oh is quite far from me because normally I'm lively, carefree, and act quickly, unlike Oh who is a composed woman with emotional complexity who keeps problems to herself. This required more homework and workshops to understand the character. But one thing Yuyu and Oh share is being a fighter when bullied or taken advantage of. Oh is a woman who fights for life, a family pillar caring for her sick mother and younger sister, and someone who stands firm in her convictions."
