Motorway M7 Flooded, Both Directions Closed Near Chachoengsao
Motorway M7 near Chachoengsao flooded both directions on September 26 after water from parallel roads overflowed onto the roadway; authorities urge drivers to use alternate routes via Nong Kham, Bang Phra, or Ban Bueng interchanges.
On September 26, the Department of Highways, through its Inter-City Expressway Division, reported flooding on Motorway M7 (Bangkok–Chachoengsao–Map Ta Phut route) at kilometer 81+900 in Ban Nong Kha, Phanat Nikhom District, Chachoengsao Province. Water from parallel roads has flowed into the main channel, causing standing water on the roadway and blocking traffic in both directions. The department urges road users to temporarily avoid the area.
Highway Department officials are on site working to resolve the situation and manage traffic flow. The department has coordinated with the Traffic Control Center (CCB) and posted messages on Variable Message Signs (VMS) to alert users in advance. Alternative routes are as follows:
Inbound: Exit M7 at Nong Kham interchange and re-enter at Bang Phra or Ban Bueng interchange. Outbound: Exit M7 at Ban Bueng interchange.
