SET Appoints Saravit Krairuek as mai-LiVEx Chief, Adds Three Deputies
The Stock Exchange of Thailand has appointed Saravit Krairuek to lead both the mai and LiVEx markets while naming three new deputy managers to support oversight and marketing. The changes, effective January 1, 2027, aim to strengthen market integration, improve supervision and prepare for senior‑executive succession. SET managing director Attaset Konsiri said the moves align with the exchange’s 2027 strategy and will help grow the Thai capital market.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announced it is restructuring its executive team to respond to rapid business changes and advance its 2027 strategy. It has appointed Saravit Krairuek, deputy manager and head of the marketing division (CMO), to concurrently serve as president of the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) and president of the LiVEx exchange, while retaining his current role. Additionally, three new deputy managers have been named: Duangrat Somutvanich as head of market supervision (CSO); Treewit Wangworawut as deputy head of marketing, overseeing marketing activities and serving as managing director of TFEX; and Nathaporn Suwansiri as deputy head of marketing, responsible for listed‑issuer affairs. These appointments are designed to accommodate fast‑growing and evolving business, facilitate a smooth transition of senior executives set to retire in 2026, and integrate the SET mai and LiVEx structures for closer alignment. Attaset Konsiri said the restructuring prepares SET to drive its 2027 strategy, noting that the four executives possess deep capital‑market expertise and play key roles in demand, supply and oversight, which will help grow the Thai market both in volume and quality. He added that the appointments form part of SET’s succession plan to ensure continuity of strategy beyond the upcoming retirements. Saravit Krairuek brings over 30 years of experience in finance and capital markets, having joined SET on August 1, 2025, and leading marketing work covering both supply and demand sides, including issuer relations, product development and investor‑base expansion. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a master’s in finance from London Business School. Duangrat Somutvanich has been with SET since 1995 and has played a vital role in developing supervisory standards and enhancing oversight of listed firms to international levels, including the use of AI and data analytics.
