Phuket's Tukabkhao Restaurant Opens Pop-Up at Bangkok's Siam Paragon
Phuket’s beloved Tukabkhao restaurant has launched a pop‑up booth at Bangkok’s Siam Paragon, serving authentic Southern Thai dishes with ingredients flown directly from Phuket. The four‑month run, beginning October 1, 2069, aims to let Bangkok residents and tourists enjoy the restaurant’s famed flavors without traveling south. Early response has been strong, drawing both locals and international visitors.
Tukabkhao, a well‑known local restaurant from Phuket, has set up a pop‑up stall at Siam Paragon’s ground floor, offering signature Southern dishes such as hor mok and braised pork belly. The owner explained that after many approaches from the mall, they finally felt ready to prepare everything fresh on site, using curry paste, vegetables, and fish shipped directly from Phuket. Prices are kept reasonable, comparable to typical mall food, and the owner guarantees the flavor matches that of the original Phuket outlet. Since opening ten days ago, the booth has attracted both Thai and foreign customers, including many Chinese tourists who have heard of the restaurant’s reputation. The pop‑up is scheduled to remain at Siam Paragon from October 1, 2069 through January 31, 2070, located in the south zone before the elevators on the ground floor.
